My first interiors from the cradle of the Finnish culture. For these women their destiny was written by the minute the Finnish-Russian war ended in 1944. Had some of these houses been 10 minutes further to the west, their future would have been so very different.
For pictures from these series I received in New York the Lucie Award for the New Discovery 2004 and several other prizes.
